Product specifications

Intended use

This monoclonal antibody enables specific detection of the influenza A nucleoprotein (NP) in FociSpot immunostaining of virus infected cells. The antibody can also be used in ELISA.

Serum/Plasma samples

Applications
FociSpot immunostaining of influenza A nucleoprotein in focus forming assays. Antibody functionality in FociSpot was confirmed using influenza A infected MDCK cells.

Functionality in ELISA was confirmed using recombinant protein.

Influenza A (NP)

Analyte description

The Nucleoprotein (NP) is a structural protein and encapsidates the negative strand RNA of influenza A into ribonucleoproteins (RNP). NP plays a role in replication, transcription, RNA packaging, and nuclear trafficking. The NP does not only interact with the RNA, but also the viral polymerase, the M protein, and several host factors.
