Performance

Detection of mouse apoA1 with mAb mHDL36 in Western blot. Mouse serum (0.1 µl and 0.01 µl) in SDS sample buffer were run on SDS-page / Western blot. ApoA1 was detected using 1 µg/ml mHDL36 (biotinylated) followed by SA-ALP and BCIP/NBT-plus substrate.

Analyte description	Apolipoprotein A1 (apoA1) is the main protein component of high-density lipoprotein particles (HDL). ApoA1 (28 kD) is mainly produced in the liver and exported into circulation where it acquires lipids and becomes HDL. A high level of apoA1 is considered protective against atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. The normal concentration of apoA1 in human plasma is approximately 0.8-2.2 g/L.
