Cross-reactivity

Human PBMC were incubated for 20 hours in an ELISpot plate. Cells were unstimulated (20,000 cells/well) or stimulated with LPS (5000 cells/well). The number of cells secreting IL-1α was analyzed by ELISpot.

Interleukin 1α (IL-1α) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine primarily produced by monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. IL-1α induces acute phase responses such as fever, T cell, and macrophage activation.
