This monoclonal antibody is recommended as mouse IgG1 isotype control in flow cytometry. It has been used as isotype control with cells from different species.

Recommendation

5 µl is recommended for staining of 1 million cells in a total volume of 50 µl. PF488P is excited by the blue laser (488 nm). The excitation max is 490 nm and the emission max is 516 nm.

Analyte description

Isotype controls are often used as negative controls in flow cytometry, immunochemistry, or Western blot experiments. An isotype control is an antibody that doesn't bind the target analyte but otherwise matches the properties of the primary antibody. For example, an isotype control should be conjugated in the same way and match the isotype of the target-specific antibody used in the assay.
