Intended use
This peptide pool is intended for studying immune responses against tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) using immunoassays such as ELISpot and FluoroSpot. It induces cytokine secretion from antigen-specific human T cells. For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

PepPool: TBEV (C+E) contains 75 synthetic peptides derived from TBEV. 26 peptides are from the capsid (C) protein and 49 peptides from the envelope (E) protein. The peptides are 15-mers overlapping with 11 amino acids. The mean purity of the synthetic peptides is 83%.

Performance
Human PBMC (250,000 cells/well) were incubated for 20 h in the absence or presence of PepPool: TBEV (C+E), scanning and the number of cells secreting IFN-γ was analyzed by ELISpot. Analysis was done with Mabtech IRIS.
Human PBMC (250,000 cells/well) were incubated for 40 hours with PepPool: TBEV (C+E), scanning and the number of cells secreting IFN-γ, IL-4, and IL-5 was analyzed by FluoroSpot. Spot center was used to identify spots from double-secreting and triple-secreting cells, visualized in an image overlay. Spot analysis was made with Mabtech IRIS.
