Mabtech EYRA™ – Flawless flow-free multiplex

Mabtech EYRA™ is designed for the analysis of EYRAplex, a magnetic bead-based multiplex assay. The instrument supports the simultaneous quantification of more than 30 analytes from a single sample, including serum, plasma, and cell supernatants.

EYRA’s acquisition process does not rely on fluidics but on confocal microscopy, which eliminates the need for sheath fluid, minimizes risk of sample loss, and avoids clogging or cleaning routines. The RAWsphere™ algorithm processes the acquired images by identifying bead positions, bead IDs, and associated PE signal with each event.

The instrument is controlled via Mabtech Opal™ software, which includes built-in templates for EYRAplex kits, automatic standard curve generation, and bulk data export functionality. The readout of a 96-well plate is done in approximately 15 minutes.

Fluidics-free workflow

Mabtech EYRA™ is built around a streamlined, flow-free design – no clogs, and no daily maintenance. Unlike traditional flow-based multiplex systems, Mabtech EYRA™ doesn’t require sheath fluid, probe calibration, or waste handling. Simply insert your plate, choose your assay, and press “read.” There’s no warm-up or flushing needed.

Once the plate is loaded, Mabtech EYRA™ uses red (638 nm) and green (532 nm) lasers to excite the magnetic beads that have settled at the bottom of each well. Each bead contains a unique fluorescent dye signature that allows for precise identification. Simultaneously, analyte-bound PE-conjugated antibodies emit a signal proportional to protein concentration. These signals are imaged using a confocal microscope, ensuring bead identification and analyte quantification are both accurate and efficient.

During acquisition, samples remain undisturbed in their wells, reducing variability and ensuring a hassle-free, no-contact readout. In under 15 minutes, your full 96-well plate is processed and ready for analysis.

 

Accurate signal recognition with RAWsphere™

At the heart of the software analysis is RAWsphere™, our advanced image analysis algorithm, built specifically for multiplex bead-based assays. RAWsphere™ identifies each magnetic bead based on its fluorescent dye signature and links it with its associated PE-signal, corresponding to the analyte concentration.

RAWsphere™ ensures that every bead event is captured and classified correctly, enabling accurate, high-resolution multiplex quantification. Whether you’re measuring 6 or 30+ analytes, RAWsphere™ makes sure that the data is precise and reproducible.

 

From plate to data, a whole lot faster

Mabtech Opal™, the intuitive software behind EYRA, is designed to minimize hands-on time and eliminate post-acquisition frustration. Plate layouts, gating, and analytes are preconfigured for EYRAplex panels, simply select your kit, and Opal™ handles the rest.

Once the read is complete, results (including MFI values and calculated concentrations) are automatically exported into Excel, ready for further analysis. Bulk export options allow you to combine multiple plates into a single file, simplifying large projects and longitudinal studies.
